By
the middle of 2005 they were writing their own tracks at breakneck
speed in Andy's loft: "We lived in a happy hippy hazy bubble
of peace, love, and funky music."
It was after hearing the demo's of High Blues and Trip with th Hippies
(recorded Dec 05 at lo-tek studios) that Bombay Monkey started working
with the Barmy Origami Army. The talented Dan Pavely played bass
for most of these tracks until departing for a course at BIM in
October. This collaboration strengthened during 2006/7 - Bombay
Monkey producing tracks and, when appropriate, adding beats, bass
and samples.
Majelon and Kinsey now play out as an acoustic duo and with Mr Afro
Joe (both sequencing B.M. beats and dancing the dervish dance).
Even on an off day, the combination rocks.
There
are now 2 Origami Dinosaur demos available to buy, but only from
the band or from lo-tek direct.
